Cyrus Koochek

Cyrus Koochek is a Partner with SwedelsonGottlieb and provides assistance
to community associations in all areas of corporate counsel and
transactional work. Cyrus oversees SwedelsonGottlieb's Amend! program,
which covers the amendment and restatement of governing documents for
associations. Cyrus believes strongly in education and is able to present
complicated legal issues in simple terms. Cyrus is passionate
about promoting diversity and inclusion in all communities and strives to
de-escalate and prevent conflicts when possible.

Cyrus has authored numerous articles on a variety of community association
topics in Common Ground and several other community association
publications. Cyrus volunteers for several chapters of CAI and CACM and is
a frequent program speaker and regular educator throughout Northern and
Southern California.

Cyrus has served on several CAI committees, including the Orange Country
Programs Committee, Channel Islands Legislative Action Committee, and
currently serves on the national DEI Task Force Committee. Cyrus is a past
CAI Rising Star award winner and was recognized in 2021 as a Super Lawyers
Rising Star, a distinction reserved for only the top 2.5% of attorneys in
California.

Cyrus received his undergraduate degree from the University of California,
Irvine in 2008 and his law degree from Whittier Law School in 2011. Cyrus
was admitted to the California Bar in 2011.

Cyrus' main interests include spending time with his wife and son, as well
as traveling. Cyrus is an avid sports fan who loves to play and watch
several sports, including soccer and basketball. Cyrus also enjoys trivia,
movies and pop culture, especially from the 80s and 90s.
